Memories & Stories

Imperial Sugar Company,
Well, here’s what I remember about learning to cook. It was back in 1941 and there were 3 younger children at home. Mother was sick so I had to cook. Dad was helping at the shipyard. I made my first biscuits. Back then we used lard from hogs so you can see I’ve been at it a long time. My grand and great grandchildren really love Mama's Biscuits, which I make when they all come home.

Thank you so much,
Mae C. Thaggard
